PROPERTY FRAUD ALERTS
It’s a disturbing trend that authorities are reporting statewide. Con artists are using forged signatures and fake documents to obtain other people’s property. It wasn’t long ago, that the only way you could protect yourself from this type of fraud, was to check on your documents and deeds regularly to ensure that they hadn’t changed hands. We have made it much easier for you with the Property Fraud Alert System.
The Property Fraud Alert system helps protect a person’s property from fraud by monitoring documents such as liens, deeds, and mortgages recorded in Pasco County. If you are selling your property, you will receive an alert. No harm, no foul. If you’re not selling your property, and someone else is trying to, you will receive an alert. Just like signing up to receive alerts on credit cards or identity protection, the Property Fraud Alert system provides peace of mind in knowing property is being monitored against the filing of fraudulent documents in the owner’s name.

Are You Getting The Most Out Of The Tax Laws?
Members may not be aware that the solicitation of potential customers is regulated under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
TCPA prohibits text messages to wireless numbers using automated telephone dialing equipment without adequate consent. We have noticed an uptick on issues regarding the TCPA. For more information, below are links to NAR’s website:
